Toshiba has made a breakthrough for the automotive world by producing a hard drive with vibration resistant. Recently, Toshiba has announced the vibration resistant hard drive called Toshiba MK2060GSC which has 200 GB capacity, 4200 RPM rotational speed and designated for use in a car dashboard. Toshiba MK2060GSC hard drive was launched because of the high demand of data storage for car need, ranging from navigation data, movie and audio.

Toshiba MK2060GSC is designed with vibration resistant & anti shock technology and it is able to survive from vibration up to 2G for 19.6 ms and able to survive from shock up to 100G when operating. The operational temperature of Toshiba MK2060GSC as hard rive that specialized for car need can be used in the range between -30 °C to 85 °C. In addition released with capacity 200GB, Toshiba also will launch similar hard drives with smaller capacity,100 GB.
