Sony Vaio Z & Y Series Can Be Functioned As Wi-Fi Access Point
Do we still need a portable device such as the Novatel MiFi hotspot when we have a notebook Sony Vaio Z or Y series? The answer is NO. Latest Sony VaioZ and Y Series series will soon has a new feature called Share My Connection (SMC). Share My Connection (SMC) is similar to portable hotspot (Wi-Fi Access Point) and with this new feature, the notebook can be functioned as a Wi-Fi access point that allows us to share internet connection with other users (maximum 5 users).
With function similar to Wi-Fi access point, we can arrange a few things such as who can use the internet connection and set the security level of Wi-Fi connection. Sony claims that the Wi-Fi connection ability in Sony Vaio Z and Y Series is same with other Wireless Router. Very interesting innovation.
