This is not a RAM memory, but it is a new kind SSD from Viking Modular. Viking Modular SATADIMM is an SSD (Solid State Disk) with size same with a RAM memory and utilize the DDR3 empty slot as the place. One of the advantage of Viking Modular SATADIMM, this SSD does not need power cable, but of course as an SSD, you still have to connect a SATA cable to this SSD. Viking Modular SATADIMM able to read and write data with speed up to 260 MBps.
