Solarve : World’s First Bus With Solar Panels

Sanyo Electric Co.,Ltd. and Ryobi Group has succeeded to develope Solarve (Solar Vehicle), world’s first bus with solar panels. The solar panels were placed on the roof and of course it is not used to run the bus, but it is used to supply the lighting and fan electricity in the bus. The bus uses LED lights so it will save the energy and when the battery is fully charged, the battery can be used for 9 hours. Solarve will start to take action in September 1, 2010 in the city of Okayama.
