Sharp Galapagos A01SH: New 7 Inch Tablet
As you know, last year, Sharp has launched two tablets with different size, Sharp Galapagos 5.5 inch and also Sharp Galapagos 10.8 inch. This year, Sharp has ready to launch a new variant of Sharp Galapagos called Sharp Galapagos A01SH.
This new Sharp Galapagos A01SH screen size is 7 inch, 1024 x 600 pixel display, it means it is the middle size of Sharp Galapagos 5.5 inch and also Sharp Galapagos 10.8 inch. Many people predicted that Sharp Galapagos A01SH will be a favorite tablet, because it can be functioned as a fun e-reader and a good media/video player for when you’re on the go.
So what exactly does the Sharp A01SH bring to the table? Well, for one, there’s no worry about being outdated. The tablet is packing Google Android 3.2, the latest version, and runs it on a 1 GHz NVIDIA Tegra 2 dual-core CPU. That alone puts it into a decent-buy category. Add to that the device also has front and back cameras and 8GB of storage and it should be golden. Connectivity is provided via WiFi, with the device being unable to do 3G at all.
Japanese retailers will probably be providing the Sharp Galapagos A01SH having its own mobile broadband router to make sure that you’re constantly linked. The only downside for the product seems to be the rather large bezel around the display. That takes away a lot of space and can ruins a perfectly good screen.
Anyway, there’s no need to think about buying it yet if you live outside of Japan. Existing selling of Galapagos tablets have already been restricted to the Japanese marketplace and even there’s not sure yet regarding any future importation of the line-up from Sharp.
