Mobile phones with a sliding design probably is not unusual, but what about the ultrabook with a sliding design? Certainly it’s not something that is common in the market. Yes still related with it, recently reportedly MSI has launched the first ultrabook S20-based Windows 8 with sliding design, the MSI S20 ultrabook.

This second generation of ultrabook can be considered as the hybrid of tablet & notebook. It’s supported by Ivy Bridge Intel Core i5-3317U processor with 4 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage capacity. In addition, MSI S20 ultrabook also offers a 11.6-inch screen with full HD resolution.

Although it has a slim form factor, the device is apparently still supported by some powerful features such as a number of connectivity options, including dual USB 3.0 ports, a mini HDMI port, an Ethernet jack, Bluetooth 4.0, WiFi and a headphone jack.

The existence of an integrated memory card reader and web cam that has a resolution of 720p also make the ultrabook more powerful. The slide-out QWERTY keyboard seems to give a sense of its own standards on ultrabook which has weighs of 1.3 kg. Although the figure seemed rather plump for a tablet product, but basically not entirely bad for a notebook product.

The sliding mechanism and the screen are adjustable, enabling the user to more comfortable typing and reading position. The presence of a touch screen that is compatible with Windows 8, of course make the use of MSI S20 ultrabook is really impressive. If you interested, MSI S20 ultrabook can be ordered online in the US at a price per unit about $ 1100 USD.
