Gigabyte Launches Z87X-UD7: First Motherboard That Uses Thunderbolt Port 2.0
Thunderbolt interface may not attract for many people, even offers a high speed. This is because the device that supports the interface is fairly slight. But this should not discourage the steps of Gigabyte to launch first motherboard that equipped with Thunderbolt ports 2.0.
The motherboard was named Gigabyte Z87X-UD7. It is also introduced directly by Gigabyte in the Intel Developer Forum (IDF) 2013, which took place in San Francisco, USA. The existence of the ports also provide the advantage of fast data transfer, it reaches 20Gbps, 2x faster than USB 3.0.
Z87X-UD7 motherboard is also equipped with a 16-phase VRM that has a high-grade driver-MOSFETs PowIRstage and five PCI Express 3.0 slots. This motherboard also comes with VRM cooling with water-cooled heatsink active in it. Other specifications, the motherboard has a PCI Express 2.0 slot old x 1, 10 SATA 6Gbps ports, two Gigabit Ethernet ports, 802.11ac, Bluetooth 4.0, OC controls onboard, multi-BIOS toggle manual, diagnostic LEDs and manual toggle PCI slot.
