Hewlett-Packard (HP) offers a new sensation for three-dimensional digital entertainment through the presence of the new series of premium notebook, the HP Envy 17′ 3D. HP claimed that the picture and sound quality of HP Envy 17′ 3D same as in the cinema. This HP Envy 17 series and its latest 3D accessories would satisfy the users because the 3D technology and sound with studio quality. This notebook uses BeatsAudio technology and an HP Triple Bass Reflex subwoofer, so the power and the performance better than other “general” notebooks.

Acer Iconia is a unique notebook from Acer with dual touch screen (14-inch) with resolution 1366 × 768 (HD). Acer Iconia uses virtual keyboard on the second screen, but when compared with “original” keyboard, the virtual keyboard is very uncomfortable. On the other hand, Acer Iconia unlike regular PC tablet because it uses Intel Core i5 as processor and the RAM memory can reach up to 4 GB, so the performance & the speed of Acer Iconia is better than a PC tablet.

On December 7 2010, Google finally officially announced the Google Chrome OS and the news quite a lot, but we try to summarize it, because there are some important things to note. First, to make sure Google Chrome OS run smoothly as developer wants, Google also launched a notebook with Google Chrome OS in it called Cr-48 Chrome Notebook. Cr-48 Chrome is free distributed notebook for certain people, so they can try and test Google Chrome OS in it.

AU Optronics (AUO) introduced a 14 inch notebook with a touch keyboard that uses solar energy where the solar panel mounted on the front cover and the top of the keyboard to get maximum result. Although it has used solar panel, it still need battery, the solar panel is used to supply the electricity on the keyboard itself.

Dell Inspiron 15R Alloy Edition notebook probably does not much different with notebooks currently available, except the casing which makes this notebook expensive. The casing of Dell Inspiron 15R Alloy Edition was made from high quality aluminum material with waves pattern. The use of aluminum as Dell Inspiron 15R Alloy Edition casing material made this 15 inch screen notebook much lighter than similar laptop (around 2.71 kg – included 6 cell battery and the DVDRW).

LG Xnote A510 is the latest notebook from LG that supports 3D format with 15.6 inch Full HD screen. LG Xnote A510 notebook uses processor Core i7 840QM or 740QM quad core, NVIDIA GeForce GT 425M 1 GB graphics card and RAM memory up to 4GB. You still need 3D glasses to enjoy a movie or a 3D image and thankfully LG has included 3D glasses in the package.

Beside Alienware as extreme notebook manufacturer, ORIGIN as PC and notebook manufacturer also produce an extreme notebook. Previously, a PC that combined with Xbox 360 called the Origins Big O has been made by ORIGIN. Recently, an extreme netbook called EON17 also has been made by ORIGIN. Do we still need a portable device such as the Novatel MiFi hotspot when we have a notebook Sony Vaio Z or Y series? The answer is NO. Latest Sony Vaio Series Z and Y series will soon has a new feature called Share My Connection (SMC). Share My Connection (SMC) is similar to portable hotspot (Wi-Fi Access Point) and with this new feature, the notebook can be functioned as a Wi-Fi access point that allows us to share internet connection with other users (maximum 5 users).
